KALEIDOSCOPE

If you’re a veteran of CFAA, you’re familiar with Kaleidoscope — it is an exhibit of floral designs created by our members and attendees.

This is an opportunity to showcase your talent by exhibiting your design in the exhibition space. CFAA supplies the pedestal, flowers and foliage — you bring your creative genius.

Your design will be professionally photographed and considered for the Design Dimensions magazine.

Calling all CFAA Members!

Kaleidoscope through the years…

FAQ’s about Kaleidoscope.

How does Kaleidoscope work?

Register to Exhibit. Members pre-register before the Seminar.

Plan. Sketch, practice, clean and prepare your container. If you are using dried materials, seal or paint early enough to allow for them to cure before travel to Seminar.

Flower Room. The Flower Room team curates a bespoke list of available greenery and blooms, places the orders, and conditions the plan material for exhibitors.

About six weeks prior to the Seminar, the Flower Room shares the list of available plant material and defines the stipend from CFAA. Exhibitors order the plan material by the designated deadline.

At Seminar, the Flower Room blooms to become the collection of the shipped flowers from their delivery points and local greens from members, all carefully processed and conditioned.

The Flower Room is an orchestrated symphony that relies on clear communication. Always respond quickly and clearly to ensure a well managed and fun event.

Design. The opening day of Seminar, the Flower Room will distribute your blooms. Members’ exhibits are then displayed on pedestals, hall tables, high-top tables, long buffet tables, or even as a floor design. The available display sites will be identified and exhibitors claim their spot on a first-come-first-served basis.

Discussion. Traditionally, Seminar will include a reception where invited moderators will guide a walking tour of the designs. Designers share their inspiration and design process. There are more than a few oooo’s and ahhhh’s!

Professional Photos. CFAA captures our amazing event and all registered Kaleidoscope designs as high quality photographs. The photos may be used in Design Dimensions, the CFAA website, or social media. You’ll certainly have some great shots of your design for your portfolio.
